Term 4 Reflection!!!

Term 4, one of the most exciting terms of my WBS year. amazing activities and opportunities. `

Kapa Haka, fierce faces scaring the audience. purple arms at the end, proud kids.

Kapa Haka was a joy. I'm shore everyone had a blast. The parents were amazed and the host of the real festivals were surprised as well.




Athletics, the most exciting event out of all. The sweat and tears.

The fun categories high jump, 200 metre sprint, 100 metre sprint, long jump and ball throw.

Coming 3rd in the 100 metre sprint, 1st in the 200 metre sprint and 4th in high jump i recon everyone had fun and enjoyed it.

Overall i Have had a wonderful year at Wainui Beach School and have had a amazing time in term 4.

Kapa Haka Festival 2019!

 Kapa Haka Festival

November 20th. Kapa Haka date. Showgrounds ready for action.  We take the bus to our wonderful stage. We watch our younger kids do us proud. It was time to finish what they started. We are doing this for our school and our pride. 

Charging up the stairs, we march with discipline. Standing strong we watch our viewers.

Carefully we do step by step. We fall to the ground. We start slaying the ground while we takahia with our fists. We grab the heaviness from the ground and shake it. We fiercely start smacking our arms. As we reset our stance, we take a command from our leader.

Now it was time for Utaina our transition song. We sung the first and then the second run through we row the air. As we stand on the stage we finish our song. We take our leaders command to go left. Suddenly there was a loud booming kamau!!!!! HI. We make a box between our eyes so they see our deadly glare. We start chanting our fearless Haka. We kneal on the ground taking on our arms. We get up and start grabbing the air and slapping our chests. After we fire our arms in the air and we put pressure on the arm. After that, HI! We start up Ka Mate. Once we finish we march out of the hall. 13 well deserved minutes.

MARAE TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was early in the morning when we woke up and got ready for this wonderful Marae trip. We got there and a lot of people were walking around on the courts. We did that for awhile until we got called to sit down. We were down for a while until we got called by Aunty Baba. We got chanted in and then we all sat down. There was a dad that volunteered to do the talking for us. After a while they did a song. That's when we did Tu Mai Ra.  We were listening to the people telling stories. Then we got taught a song called Mama Panda. It went Mama Panda, PukiPraua, Eti Ata, Eti Po, Kia ora, Mama Panda, PukiPraua, MMMM Reka! After that we went to have morning tea . After that we got into some activities. we did that until lunch time. Then we had free play time. Then we did some more activities. We had free play until we had to get the beds ready. Then we did kapa haka practise until we performed to the parents. We did our kapa haka and then it was Wainui beach school's got talent. Then we got ready for bed and went to sleep. When we woke up got dressed and got to take a big run, then we went on to have some free time. After that we lined up for breakfast. After that we had another play. We had a activity time and then we had lunch. After lunch we packed our beds up.               

KNOCKOUT FINALS!!!!!

Guess what on the weekend Me and Wainui Thunder went and played mangapapa for the cup of knockout finals. We already have one trophy before but we just won two more for the school.

We arrived on the freezing cold saturday morning ready for action. We were furious. We do our warm ups. We then hear Blake blow the whistle, Derek hands out the positions for the team. Nikau was in goal, Toby was Right back, Chester was center back, Charlie was left back, Ziggy was center mid, I was on the right wing, Gavin was on the left wing and Seve and Kya were up front. Rory, Shea. We started off because Chester guessed which hand it was in.

The whistle  blew and kia kicked off. We would go and it would be up and down. Finally Nikau gives the ball to Ziggy and he boots it across the field and I Shoot and get it bottom left corner. We get back to half way and reset. We go up and down the pitch, some missed shots came to Ziggy smacking a knuckle ball right into the centre of the net.We repeat the same thing over again and Ziggy took a shot from the retreat line and got it in. It goes the same way and then I

get the ball to my feet, I run up and i had a 1v1 with the keeper. I curl it around the keeper, It goes in. we started and then Ziggy passes it to gavin. He was put in left back and then he still scored from just over half way.

The final score was 5-1 to us and we won the cups, i think we all had a great time.

CAPITAL E Performance!

On Monday these performers came and did a capital E show. It was like a news show and they were really funny. My favourite part about the Show was the Alien invasion movie ad.  I was sitting next to Sennen and he went crazy and pretended to be shooting at the humans. He also said 'Grab The Minigun'! I also like the rapper little Shoo Shine, and he made a song called Eat Your Face! We were there until morning tea or a little bit  before.


Overall i think that everyone had a very fun time.

My First And Last Cross Country Race At Wainui Beach School.

On a nice Tuesday morning we traveled down to our intense cross country race. We sat down and waited for our turn. The Y6 girls were up first. As they took off we got ready for our race. We got called up and I got really nervous.

We lined up with furious faces. As we waited suddenly the two bricks collided and made a huge BANG! Everyone runs off, Ziggy, Gavin, Rylan and Toby gas it. I hung around the back at the start. I finally started to reach other people, I got in the top ten. But I started to slow down because my heel started to hurt again. 

In the race there were some good runners with not much strength. Ziggy was sick, Gavin had sore heals and Jack wacked Toby in the face while running and gave Toby a blood nose.

We went down hill I nearly fell over again, but I managed to keep my self balanced and kept running. As I passed Koka Ngaire I have to keep my pace. Then I raced down the track. I heard the cheering and screaming and I saw parents with there camera out ready for a photo of their kids. I run to the finish line, and I realised that I still have another lap to go. To be fair the same stuff happened in the second Lap.

Overall it was a great exciting day!

Every Morning except for Fridays we listen to the teachers read Because of Winn Dixie. The book is about this girl called India Opal has to move from her hometown to this Watley. She thought she would not get friends but she ended up to make heaps of friends. She makes a party and all her friends come to the party. We haven't read past that. I am enjoying this book because it was Kind of what happened with me and my brother Rylan. 

Champions!!!!

On Wednesday Wainui Thunder and the girl Wainui Team went to the Inter School soccer tournament. The first four games were deciders to get in the Semi Finals. We got to the Semi Finals and we versed St Maries. We won 5-0 and moved on to the finals. It was us v.s Makauri. It was 0-0 at the end of the game. We went into Penalties. Jack was shooting on Nikau. It went in. Toby went on their keeper. He scored. it was 1-1. It was their shot and it missed. It was Ziggy's shot now and it  missed. It was the other players team. They miss again. It was all up to Gavin. Gavin hits the ball with all his might and the keeper saved it. Suddenly it rolled back and the tiniest part of the ball rolled past the Line. We won the Inter School Tournament!!!!!!

Today me and my group were doing angles and triangles. We had to try and draw a equilateral triangle and had to make it 60 degrees each corner. Me and Matai buddied up. My best attempt was 0.05 of. Matais best try was 180 degrees. He got it right. After we finished i had a workshop about decimals.

In term 2 we had a lot of exciting stuff going on, e.g. The museums and Retro tech and Martariki. We also have a lot of independent people in Moana. I have been put in the right groups with the right people because they have shown that you should be role models not silly. I learnt that when I was in the retro tech group with Miriam, Bjorn, Robbie And Nellie. Now I am gonna share my learning to everyone in Term 3.

Escape From Kraznir

This is my writing of Escape From Kraznir. Escape from Kraznir is a fantasy chapter book. It is with two warriors and yourself and you have to escape this castle and then make your way back to your home town(Slinsel).

Chapter 1 Escape Castle Krill.

Our whispers break the silence of the drenched room. There is moss crawling on the walls.As we search the broken dungeon we all gear up. Touchfire puts on his gear while Arthur is guarding. Once Touchfire is done he swaps with Author so he can get ready for the adventure. I wait for them to get ready. I fix my armour right. Once we are done we go over all the plans, first we are going to the kitchen to get supplies for the journey, secondly we are going to escape castle Krill.

Carefully and quietly we sneak out of the dungeon. We get on our knees and we crawl down the dark gloomy hall. As we crawl we hear whispers. We stay still, then we feel somebody go past. He heads for the kitchen. Dire and the team wait for them to go. They are not seeming to go. Touchfire looks at the roof. There is a passage way. Touchfire climbs through. Touchfire is the key because he has unlimited space in his pack. He can fill up as long as he wants.

Maths Test!!!!

Maths Test
Today we had a maths test for L3 Writing with Koka Ngaire. Me and Gavin were the first ones to finish it. It was a addition and subtraction test. It was also a place value test. My favourite question was probably number ten because it was challenging and good for me. Koka Ngaire will be checking our maths next week.

DISCOVERY

Today at discovery i went up to skate. There was not many people up at the Skate ramp. Ziggy, Toby and I were trying to do tricks. Caitlyn and Kya were videoing Ziggy do a skid and do a Kick Flip. He kept trying and trying until he got it. I did a pretty good olly as well. I was amazed at ziggy because he is just such a great skater. He a natural like me. After a while i got a bit board so i played BBall with dillon. Then seve snatino and jamai came and joined in. After a while it was the end.

Arctic Assassin Mr daniels Assingmant

Arctic Assassin

Chapter 1: The chosen

One day there was a lonely recruit waiting to be chosin. Her name was ramirez. She had dreamed of being one of the 1 hundred that get picked to go fight on behalf of them. She has been signed for 3 years in a row but never got picked. She has been training really hard for the moment to go of the Spawn island and let the battle bus take her. She had to pack and get ready to get to the Chosen ceremony. She had to go to sleep and get up very early. 8 hours Later. SHe wakes up from her sleep and gets on her hoverboard. She is already to go. When she Arrives she is the only one without a cool costume. She then meets other recruits there. There names are Banshee and  Jonesy. They were the only ones that hadn’t been to the actual fight. Everyone else except for those three are sweats. It was time to get chosen. First player chosen was Poised playmaker, Sparkle specialist, Renegade Raider. 53 after jonesy, banshee and then ramirez were chosen. Hurray!!!!!!. The three got there suits that they had to be given. Jonesy got A yellow, white and black racing suit. Banshee got a single red singlet suit. And Ramirez got like a snow camo suit. They have gotten their suits and are ready to go.

Chapter 2: Spawn Island

The top one hundred were chosen and put on a boat. There were so many people on the boat. Jonesy and Banshee Thought they were so cool and then got new names. Jonesy is now named Cabbie and Banshee is now renegade. Ramirez doesn't want to really hang out with them anymore. She had two find another person to come and duo with me. She searched for 2 hours looking for someone, but she had no luck. She finally came to the frost room and that's when she met this guy called Absolute Zero. He had a similar suit two arctic assassin. Ramirez and absolute zero asked at the same time if they wanted to be a duo. And they both agreed. Finally the boat had stopped and they were there. They had officially reached spawn Island. Ramirez really wanted to check out everything on spawn island. But then the bus driver Asked For everyone to come in and get on the bus. So everyone did. This was the big moment.

Chapter 3: Lonely Lodge

Everyone was on the bus  ready to drop. 79 dropped and then finally the two dropped. They set their marker at lonely lodge. They jumped and pulled out there glider. They both dropped at the gun shop. There was a vending machine that drop a combat shotgun. There was another duo here. There was a Garrison and a Bullseye.

Arctic assassin took bullseye and Absolute zero took Garrison. Arctic Assassin took a 149 headshot. Bullseye was knocked. Absolute zero Took down garrison with a minigun. They have got 2 kills together. Suddenly another person jumped scared them. They were surprised. It was an enforcer. They got really scared but then suddenly ramirez got shot and then absolute zero was knocked. Arctic assassin has only 12 health. She hits a flick shot and boom the enforcer was dead. The enforcer had two chug jug’s. Arctic assassin revived absolute zero and then they both chugged up. They were both full health.

Chapter 4: 7 Kills

The duo were running finally. There placing was top 22nd. Arctic assassin got her heavy sniper out ready to snipe a head that’s poking out. She scans around her and then suddenly finds someone. She shoots the gun and then boom Thats a knock, Suddenly Absolute zero gets shot at and knocked. He got finished and then it was all on arctic assassin. Arctic Assassin rushed the person she knocked and hoped she would get the team mate. She was lucky and got two more kills. Together they were on 5 kills. She was now top 12. There were alot of people around her are dying.

Chapter 5: Victory Royal

She was getting rushed and she was really really scared. She really didn’t want to die on her first game. Luckily this other duo rifted and rushed them. Arctic assassin stood still. She could hear all these other gunshots. She was really scared. She was just building higher and higher and higher. She got to max height and then she got broken down. There was pressure on her. SHe was top 3. She was getting rushed. She does a sweet edit and then one shot knocked a Beef Boss. The last person was a Onesie. SHe was a good player. There was a build battle then Arctic assassin shotgun to the head. Bam. VICTORY ROYAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

L3 Maths

This is my designed for good Vocab Activity. We did this in Tui reading group. We all has to copy make a copy of this and then fill in what we thought the words ment. It was hard at the start but then i picked up on it and wrote quite a bit. Designed for good is about three people making a rat and possum killer. they put this type of liquid in some sort of bottle. Rats and possums like the smell and get attracted, after that they get up close and sniff it. Bang the lever zooms out and kills the pest. Predators get close and snatch the dead bodies. After that other rats come and then die. It keeps going on and on and on.

Wainui Beach E Village Trip.

Wednesday 16th May

Last Week we went to the E-Village. Firstly we got told about the electric bikes. Second we got shown this great silenced electric bike. It could only go on farm's. Then we got told about how the electricity and water goes. then we got a choice to play on the electric scooter, Play with the robots or play with wooden logging trucks on the wooden town map. I chose to go to the robot and the mini town. The robot was really awesome.

The 2 category is Content. Level 1 is, I have most of the content that the task requires. my content is mostly relevant to the task. The 3 category is Punctuation. Level 1 is, I have checked my blog for punctuation, spelling and typos and don't have many errors. Level 2 is, I have checked my blog for punctuation, spelling and typos thoroughly, and have no errors. Level 3 is, I have checked my blog for punctuation, spelling and typos and a buddy check it as well. I am sure that i have no errors in my work.

Justice League to the Rescue!

 The first quickwrite we had to do was about superman. This is what i wrote. Superman needed help. He picked up his phone and began to dial 080 936 7784 AKA The Justice League number. First to appear was Flash, then Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Batman, Green Lantern and Cyborg. They came in that order. Bane was on the loose again. He was stealing and getting into fights. The Justice League never liked Bane because all he would do was make trouble. Finally  The Justice League found Bane. First up was Superman and Batman. The best duo. Superman used his strength and Batman used his fighting skills. Next was Flash and Martian Manhunter. Flash used his speed to distract Bane while Martian Manhunter blasted beams at him. Wonder woman held him with her lasso while all The Justice League used their powers.
